This ceremony is an opportunity to get in touch with the Dark. To honour and lay offerings to our ancestors who have walked this path before us, and to journey for healing and guidance, as we descend deeper into the darkest part of the year. We will be coming together in ritual and ceremony to honour the darkening within ourselves, the shadows, obstacles, blockages and truths. Giving them space to be felt and seen, to warm their hands by the fire.
This evening we will be laying our bundles at the door and gathering into a sacred space together. Our path will lead us on a Shamanic Journey to the Otherworld, to meet with the Plant Allies of Cacao and Rosemary, for support and healing for our paths at this time. We will also be calling upon the wisdom of an ancestor to support us on our journey, with gifts, insight, wisdom and messages that may act as a beacon, to help us through the darkness.
Mother Cacao is a potent ally of the Heart and Womb, supporting us to shift old patters, transform old beliefs and heal old woundings, so that we can open to divine love and connection in a deeper and more profound way.
Rosemary is an ancient and native ally to these lands, deeply connected to the ancestors, wise women and witch craft. Known as the plant of remembrance, Rosemary helps us to connect to memory stored within us and within our whole ancestral lines. She is a restorative herb for the whole body, and a powerful herb of protection.
As we venture back from the Otherworld, we will culminate all of the gifts, messages and guidance that we have received, and pour them into the craft of a sacred amulet/talisman. This talisman will act as a connection to your ancestor, to Cacao and to Rosemary, and will be an anchor to help guide you through the Winter, and into Spring. You will be invited to bring some natural materials, items and objects that are sacred to you, to weave into your talisman, and I will also bring an array of natural objects for you to use too. This will be an intuitive crafting space, for you to infuse your item with energies that are personal to you.
We will draw our evening to a close with a bowl of warm soup and bread, to ground us all back into our bodies, before the big journey home.

As we descend, and Autumn draws near, it can be a really supportive time to commune with and connect to plant spirits. Our plant allies can provide us with protection, reflection, validation and guidance as we drop deeper and deeper into the shadows. Now is the time to see and be seen. The veil is at its thinnest, meaning that communication with our ancestors and the realm of Plant Spirits is heightened.
